Saddle [noun]: the passable ridge between two peaks or high points. Typically filled with great views and resting rocks.

We needed a win after yesterday, or a long soak in a jet filled hot tub. Since we were in the middle of the desert, we went for the win. Fremont Saddle, you’re up.

We made it to the trailhead by 7:30am and after only one “oh, crap forgot X” return trip to the van, were hiking by 7:45am. This trail was amazing, challenging in a way a good trail is without any “oh ish!” moments. The saddle, while yes not an actual peak, was a great viewpoint of Weaver’s Needle and a good ol’ pat-yo’self-on-da-back moment. Back to the Sub by 11am and looking for some liquid refreshment. Five outa five trail doggos would recommend.
