When one finds oneself in Iowa at a car show, one usually find oneself after the car show enjoying a beer or three. Our first stop after the Good Guys annual car show was Big Grove Brewery to meet up with some friends we hadn’t seen in awhile.

The indoor atmosphere (air conditioning was absolutely necessary by this time) was great. Foliage (fake or real, the discourse on the topic was intense but the jury is still out) was excellent. I’m not normally one who feels citrus belongs in beer but I was feeling adventurous and had their heavily promoted wheat dubbed the Citrus Surfer. Not sure why the name as I don’t believe any citrus was used in the brewing process, maybe because some like an orange slice with a wheat beer? Hmm. It was excellent.
