Sandra’s Pick: Beehive Honey Wheat

Jake’s Pick: World Peace Death Ray

We had been unconscienciously taking a break from breweries in Colorado thus far, having mainly purchased beer from grocery stores. Colorado Springs was out to change that. Randomly scrolling through google of the breweries, Jake said he heard cool things about Bristol Brewing, so off we were to Idywild School. Yes, it is located in an old, repurposed elementary school. They share the building with several food places, a cocktail lounge, coffee roastery and distillery.

The building is hands down one of the coolest beer experiences I have had the pleasure of partaking. The school theme is super strong, which had Jake and I secretly hoping Italian dunkers would come with the tap beer. No such luck, but the beer was delicious. It wasn’t the cheapest in town, but the experience made up for the rather hefty bill. I wish my elementary was this awesome. If you are in the area, I can’t recommend stopping by enough.
