Sandra’s Pick: Castle Cream Ale

Jake’s Pick: Ode IPA

After days of being saturated, chilled, and sore I was in desperate need of a cold glass of beer. Full disclosure, I had every intention of stopping by Castle Danger during our thru hike of the Superior Hiking Trail, damp or not. Regardless, the poor spirits from the weather and lack of alcohol on this backpacking trip had Jake easily agreeing to the few additional miles.

Jake and I have enjoyed Castle Danger for years now while venturing to the north shore of Lake Superior. Occasionally you could find it in the Twin Cities. I love their flagship brew, the Cream Ale, yuummm. Jake tried their IPA and was very happy with it. We enjoyed ourselves through two tall rounds of brews despite being outside on the deck in the drizzling rain if that says anything.
