Sandra’s Pick: Premium Pilsner

Jake’s Pick: Dirtyface Amber

Nothing soothes disappointment more than a cold beer on tap. Naturally, after an unsuccessful search for spaetzle to go with some schnitzel, we decided to hit up the local brewery before moving to our camping spot. I held zero expectations for a placed dubbed Icicle in a Bavarian-themed town. I mean, yes, that area gets cold, I guess.

I told Jake to surprise me with whatever he felt looked good. I ended up with their award winning pilsner. It was dang good. Jake enjoyed his amber as well. While my saltiness towards a town that theme’s itself in Bavarian name only, I support a brewery's need to find its own identity. To their credit they also serve authentic German beers on tap as well. Bravo!
