Sandra’s Pick: Classic Amber

Our last stop on our storage journey brought us to Iowa, land of corn, swine and Cyclone fans. Don’t even speak to me of Hawkeyes or the University of Iowa, I will magically turn deaf.

Our hosts, Ryan & Nate, brought us to Barn Town Brewing in West Des Moines to drink beer while watching the last half of the destruction of Creighton by San Diego State. That was a heartbreaker to be sure, but beer soothes all and the amber ale did just that.

I’m told that the beer slushies are delicious but the idea of freezing beer horrifies me to my core. Jake decided to reign chaos and drank a guest beer from a can rather than a glass of house brew.
